{Breken} and the little red wagon...

I absolutely love my job, even when it means chasing around a very active, one year old boy.  Breken was definitely one little busy guy and did not want to sit for anything, including his one year old photo-shoot his mother had booked one month in advance.  His mom asked me several time "are all the kids you photograph like this"?  My response was, absolutely!  Kids, especially between the ages of 12months-3 years old have a very hard time sitting and posing for photos.  They want to explore life and, well, sitting for pictures isn't fun to them.  Being a mom myself I realize the frustration a parent might feel - we have this idea of the perfect picture and when our kids don't cooperate, it's down right frustrating.  But, we have to remember they are just kids and don't have the same ideas us moms have.  And, to me, capturing them "just the way they are" is just as good, if not better.  We want to make memories of our children and what better memories to make then capturing them in their element.  Here is a little look at Breken, who just turned one years old and is having his special birthday celebration this weekend.  Happy Birthday, Breken!
