{FAQ} Braces, Retainers, Blemish Removal...
I frequently get asked about blemish removal and as always, I tell my clients that I remove all of that when editing. I am a huge beliver in making the skin look it's best when editing my images and honestly, if I could only do one thing to an image that would be it, because to me, it makes the biggest difference. Another frequent asked question is, "can you remove braces and/or fixed retainers"? The answer is, yes. However, braces are the most time consuming of the both. I prefer not to remove braces for two reason, one being, it takes me forever and most clients don't want to pay the extra fee, and two, I don't always think it looks as natuaral. Fixed retainers are a whole other ball game and to me the easiest. It is still something I have to spend time on, but not nearly as much and the teeth (to me) look more natuaral. Dee Dee is a client that has a fixed retainer and her mom mentioned to me that sometimes it slips causing a little gap to show. I would have never noticed myself until she pointed it out, but it was a simple and easy fix. I wanted to take it a step futher, because the type of fixed retainer Dee Dee wears would be pretty easy to remove. Here are two example of before (with the retainer) and after (without the retainer).

On the top edit I can still see the retainer on the after shot.
