Kelli + Scott's Custom Wedding Invitations

First came Scott + Kelli's Save The Date Cards, which I made last March.  With that, I got a special request from Kelli inquiring if I made custom wedding invitations, or if I would even be willing to do something like that.  I hadn't been asked before, but I absolutely LOVE creating & was excited for the opportunity.

What drew me to photography wasn't just the aspect of "taking photos", but creating something unique - constantly coming up with new and creative ideas.  Photography, so far, hasn't ever been something I've become bored with, but in turn, something I get excited about because the possibilities are endless.  I don't just shoot for the moment, but also with the vision of the end result.

Part of the reason I love shooting weddings is because I am there all day shooting, what to most, is the most excited day of their lives - I get to be apart of that & feel honored they chose me to document it.  I get to tell their story in a unique way in which the final result with unfold in the pages of their beautiful custom leather album.  They will look at that album for years to come & my hope is, that they will see something years down the road that they didn't even know was there.

So when Kelli asked me to create their wedding invite for their rustic October wedding which will take place at Santa Margarita Ranch, California - I jumped at the opportunity.  Kelli, I look forward to documenting yours + Scott's special day & can't wait to see all your amazing plans come together!

These first photos are of the Save The Date Cards.  Kelli wanted everything to coordinate & so I used the same font & colors (pumpkin orange & chocolate brown) for both the Save The Date cards & The actual official Wedding Day Invites.

Kelli chose such a fun picture from our engagement session together to put on their Save The Date card.  All of their engagement photos turned out so good as both Kelli + Scott are true naturals in front of the camera - such a fun couple and I can't wait to photograph the two of them together in October!

The Wedding Invite's were so much fun to make!  Kelli loved the bold lettering used in her Save The Date cards, so I simple used the same writing for her invites.

The direction cards are my favorite!  When I first started creating them, I felt stuck with just plain old lettering and thought it would be a great idea to make a mini-map with a photo of a ranch.  I was so pleased with how it all came out.
