It started with a question from a good friend of mine..."what's your favorite part when it comes to photographing a wedding"? Well, everything! I love all the details and thought that go into planning a wedding and getting to come alongside the Bride & Groom and capture every detail of every moment is a true honor. I did however let my good friend know that my absolute favorite part of the day is when I get to photograph the bride getting ready. For some of you out there, that may seem boring, but for me it's such a special part of the day. For one, it's the Bride's last few hours as a single woman & there is so much excitement & joy in those last few hours before the "I do's". Second, I get to capture every facial expression as she prepares for one of the most important days of her life. I love standing back & capturing moments the Bride is unaware of until she sees her images for the first time. Those are the moments I am always striving for - raw emotion. And lastly, I love capturing all the fun details - hair, make-up, shoes, dress, jewelry, ect.
This is my most recent wedding of Chris + Christina at Eagle Ridge in Gilroy, California. I had so much fun watching Christina & her bridesmaid get ready for the day. She was so excited & it showed. These images are why capturing the bride getting ready is so important to me.
